Social Networking Business It’s Not All About You Actually
During the first months in your or MLM training, most of your activities will focus on social networking business. This is basically prospecting. You do this either offline – through one-on-one’s or online – through online network marketing.
As a networker, always remember not to prospect like the "Old School Networkers". You know? Those people who nag prospects into joining their MLM business or buying their network marketing product.
They often tell exaggerated stories and testimonies and even saying too many lies about the compensation plan. They just want to lure their prospects. Take note that they might be successful in signing people in but they will "Be Found Out" sooner or later. They will never be trusted again by their prospects.
You as a professional networker should always practice "Ethical Network Marketing". You should not approach prospects like a sales person - who only want to earn money.
You should not even talk about your MLM business opportunity on the first meeting. You should know first your prospect well, give them occasional phone calls just to say hi and try to have a good conversation. You must earn their trust and create a strong bond between you and them.
And avoid the trap of talking about YOU all the time. Avoid bragging! What your prospects want is a solution to their problems that you can offer.
When they become comfortable with you, they will open up and there will be the opportunity for you to
help them.
You can ask what they want in life. This will be the time for you to show them the solution.
This procedure takes some time but what's important is having clients with the same passion like you - to succeed! This is better than working with "Tire Kickers" who joined only just to "Try" your network marketing business.
The law of averages.
A famous quote of a business philosopher says: “If you do something often enough, a ratio will appear”.
This is how it works: When you talk to 10 people and only 1 said yes to you, this means that for every 10 people you talk to, there will 1 who will say "Yes". That is your average. So just talk to 20 more and you will have 2 people in your organization.
When you do this consistently, your average will increase. Why? Because you are getting better at prospecting.
